Battery Dance Company

Battery Dance Company recently celebrated its 31st Anniversary and has been recognized locally and worldwide as downtown’s most prominent dance company and presenter of dance. As the founders and sponsors of the annual Downtown Dance Festival, now in its 26th season, Battery Dance Company promotes the performing arts among the city’s youth through Dance Education Residencies at Washington Irving High School in Manhattan, Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in Queens, and P.S. 257 in Brooklyn, as well as a new education partnership with Millennium High School. Battery Dance Company also produces a full calendar of performances, residencies and workshops in the United States, South Asia, Germany and the Far East.

Blue Coyote Theater Group and Access Theater

Blue Coyote Theater Group is an acclaimed presenter of new American plays and the resident company at Access Theater. Recently recognized by The New York Times as “one of the theaters to pay attention to in downtown New York,” Access Theater is a vital member of the Tribeca arts scene and has produced hundreds of new plays, performance pieces and exhibitions by emerging artists and promising young theater companies tackling current issues. Based in a converted turn-of-the century textile warehouse outfitted with two performance spaces and a non-traditional multi-use loft space, Access Theater has been on White Street since 1996.

Manhattan Children’s Theatre

Manhattan Children’s Theatre is Lower Manhattan’s only theater for young audiences and has presented three seasons of consistently well-received productions. Since opening its doors in May 2002, Manhattan Children's Theatre has produced 19 fully staged theatrical productions for children and families throughout the community. MCT offers acting classes for children ages 3-12 and has just launched "Little Tales," a new theatrical program geared directly toward the pre-school age child. MCT is critically acclaimed as a company that "delivers a story at a child's level while not compromising adult theatrical values," and "a great place for children to bring their parents!"

Soho Photo Gallery

Soho Photo Gallery was founded in 1971 as a photography collective. Located at 15 White Street in the spacious rooms of a former egg warehouse, SoHo Photo is committed to showcasing the work of a wide variety of photographers, with a full calendar of exhibitions, seminars and workshops offered throughout the year. Its impressive history of exhibiting photography-greats such as Andre Kertesz and Minor White continues today, with its sponsorship of annual national juried competitions and events that highlight up-and-coming artists.
